Sian is an English specialist with considerable experience of teaching and leadership in successful secondary schools in Norfolk, Essex and Havering. Her consultancy role within Southend on Sea local authority means that she has worked with a wide range of schools, from high performing selective institutions to those in challenging circumstances. She has worked as a Regional Adviser for National Strategies, supporting 16 local authorities in London; she is also an Ofsted inspector. This wealth of experience demonstrates that Sian has much to offer all schools in the UK.
Sian Thomas has the NPQH qualification and completed an MA in Educational Studies in 2010. She is an experienced examiner for GCSE English and Functional Skills in English; and has written teaching materials for the UK market and been CPD presenter for a major examination board.
Sian has gained particular experience in EYFS and Primary education over the last three years, having led successful outstanding teacher programmes in Essex and Havering schools. She is especially interested in promoting independence and leadership in the classroom.
